Our goal is to have 20–24 people renting desks for $680 each. People can also linger at our space for a monthly fee of $350. How do we get people to sign up?

“Working in Public”

Starting when we sign our lease, let’s create an ongoing stream of honest, uncontrived marketing materials by communicating all our internal work externally (within reason). We’ll livestream team meetings, design reviews and space walkthroughs on the Index Public Square, and edit them down for social content. We’ll publish our weekly ship on social, and make our Notion dashboard public. This meta approach to marketing feels like a more authentic expression of the Index ethos than a traditional campaign (which we can — and probably need to — do additionally). It also allows us to start talking about Index IRL publicly as soon as the lease is signed, without a heavy lift of creative production.

Marketing site

The /irl/nyc marketing site will feature:

V1 (Jan–Mar)

External Notion dashboard

We’ll share our non-sensitive documents on an external Notion page, and link to its content on social regularly.

Team meetings

Our team meetings will become content to raise awareness and hype around Index IRL in the months leading up to opening. Meta, radically transparent, speaks to the right people.
