Build furniture out of simple, warm materials that fit the space we have, rather than buying things that may not fit our space just right.
These are some pictures of my Aunt Lisa’s studio. She and my uncle bought the land where it sits in 1969. They spent the first summer in a tent, before building a room and a fireplace. Since then they have been building every shelf, cabinet, box, divider and organizer in this home specifically to hold the possessions they need to put away. The home is never finished. I think this is a radical approach to…. owning things.
A place for everything; everything in its place
