Index NYC is a 4,000 square-foot shared studio & event space in Chinatown, NYC. We’re looking to offer a dedicated desk at our shared studio in exchange for 6 hours of work per week or 24 hours per month. Our dedicated desks are $720/month, so 24 hours per week = $30/hour.

The work we need help with involves:

Event Management Being present for events hosted at our space after-hours and on weekends.

Prospective Membership Tours Showing prospective members around the space and acting as a point-of-contact.

Being Helpful Serving as a helpful on-site and on-call resource to members as needed.

The ideal candidate:

• Has a flexible schedule that allows them to stay after hours and come in on weekends.
• Is innately warm, welcoming, and makes people feel comfortable.
• Is highly capable, reliable, resourceful, and economical.
• Must love dogs.

This is essentially a hospitality position in a creative studio environment. Relevant experience may include community organizing, restaurant service, retail, residencies, and events.
